Charlotte’s Web

Outdoor Summer Series

Based on the novel by  E.B White
Adapted By Joseph Robinette

Directed By: Dave DeChristopher

July 17, 18, 24, 25 at 4pm and 6pm

Sponsored by Black Hills Orthopedic and Spine Center, Forest Products Distributors, Rensch Law and a Stanford M. and Lynda Adelstein Arts Grant via the Rapid City Arts Council.

E.B White’s classic story of friendship is a treat for the whole family. When young pig Wilbur goes to a new farm, he forms an unlikely (and ultimately life-saving) bond with Charlotte, the extraordinary spider who uses her expert weaving skills to save the day.

Family Friendly

The Outdoor Summer Series will perform on the lawn to the west of the Performing Arts Center on the corner of 7th and Columbus. The event is free and open to the public (donations accepted). Just bring your chairs or blankets to the large outdoor area, perfect for social distancing, starting 30 minutes before the performance time. Masks are not required, but strongly encouraged for patrons who have not yet been vaccinated.

Things to know for this outdoor performance:

-No tickets or reservations needed! Just show up!

-Patrons can park in the parking lot on Columbus St just like they are going to a production in the Historic Theater and then head towards the grass area to the right of the building.

-Seating will open 30 minutes prior to the performance. (3:30 pm and 5:30pm)

-Bring your own chairs and/or blankets.

-We will have some bottles of water available for sale, but you may want to bring water to keep yourselves hydrated! Sunscreen and bug spray would probably be a good idea, too!

-Patrons will have access to restrooms inside the PACRC.

-If there is a high chance of inclement weather on performance days, the call will be made no later than 2 hours before the performance. If a performance is cancelled, the announcement will be sent out to our email list and posted on our Facebook Page and to the Facebook Event.
